DAY 1: Arrive at Dehradun/HARIDWAR. DRIVE TO BULL'S RETREAT FOR LUNCH AND Drive to Devprayag and on to BYAas Ghat
An MHE representative will be there to pick you up from the Dehradun airport or Haridwar station. You need to arrive at Bull's Retreat - our forest resort at the foothills of the Himalaya, by 12 noon (a 1 hour drive). A wash and change followed by lunch at Bull's Bistro, and we head out to Devprayag. It's a 56 KM road trip journey that should take around two hours. We’ll stop in Devprayag and walk down to the “sangam”, (about 10-12 minutes) the confluence point of the two rivers, Bhagirathi and Alaknanda, which meet to form the Ganga. One is green and the other is muddy brown - you can clearly see the points of merging. An ethereal sight!

We continue driving about an hour (20 KM) further until we meet our boats at the ferry point – here’s where we cross over to our camp for the night. Night halt is at Byaas Ghat, a secluded and pristine silver stained beach in the middle of the Ganga gorge. You will stay in expedition tents on twin sharing basis. Our professional guides will set up camp for you (if you want to help, be our guest!) and start a blazing bonfire. By the time we reach camp around 16:00 there should be enough time for a round of beach volleyball before it is time to rest and recoup around the bonfire. Warm those wet toes, sip a cup of tea, and then later, dig into a scrumptious meal under the starry skies. A night to remember indeed!

Meals included: Lunch and dinner
Activities: Walking and beach volleyball
DAY 2: Ride those waves!
Wake up to some steaming hot 'chai' and make sure you take in a hearty breakfast - plenty of paddling and swimming today! We pack up the camp, get acquainted with the guides who will be your soul mates down the river, load your personal kits onto the raft and get ready for a remarkable river rafting adventure down the Ganga!

The first part of this trip is a lazy one, so go ahead and spot birds, swap stories and just enjoy the floating! We're headed to Kaudiyala first - around 1.5 hours of rafting on the flat sections. The action starts at Kaudiyala! Daniel's Dip is the first big rapid it looks innocuous but packs quite a punch so don't make the istake of underestimating it!

If you make it through this one without a dunking (and our guides try their best to ensure that you do!), then the mother of them all - The Wall, awaits. Just so you know, the Wall is often a Grade IV rapid and isn't always 'raftable'. Your guide may just decide to walk around it. Listen to him. He knows best. Also, if you're a non-swimmer it would be best if you walk around this one, keeping safety protocols in mind. Packed lunch will be served - we'll find a fantastic empty
beach on the way. This section will take around 3.5 to 4 hours (if you paddle well!) to reach Marine Drive around early evening.

The drive from Marine Drive to Bull's Retreat is around 20 minutes and soon you're back in warm heated room to a hot shower followed by a blazing bonfire. Overnight at Bull's Retreat.

Meals included: Breakfast, lunch, bonfire snacks and dinner
Activities: White-Water Rafting
Day 3: Rafting, Rishikesh, BEATLES ASHRAM, and Ganga Arti
You've got the drill by now - pack up your kit, gear up the boats, have a hearty breakfast and hit the river.

Today you will paddle the boats on some of Ganga's most loved rapids. Initiation, Cash Flow, and Black Money follow rapidly one after the other. We take a short break at a beach to catch our breath and then take on the big ones. Three Blind Mice (highly deceptive at first glance), Cross Fire and Return To Sender follow through and then come the two most popular rapids on the Ganga - Golf Course and Roller Coaster. The former has been known to flip a boat or two
and the latter...well, you'll know why it's called a Roller Coaster when you ride it!

It's a 4 hr: 30 Min ride till the last beach, where we lay out some hot lunch for you and pitch a few changing tents. After lunch it's time to take that afternoon amble through one of India's most ancient holy cities - Rishikesh.

Popularly known as the "gateway to the Garhwal Himalaya", Rishikesh became famous in the west in 1968 when the Beatles visited the Maharishi Mahesh Ashram – now widely known as the Beatles Ashram. Although it is no longer in use, a walk through the ashram, gazing at its graffitifilled walls down forest paths is quite a surreal experience. Rishikesh is home to many active ashrams - and one particular ashram performs the most spectacular evening Ganga aarti (a ritual of worship) attended by the faithful and the curious. This is an evening that combines ancient history, rich cultural traditions, and pop culture,
Drive back to Rishikesh and spend the night at Bull's Retreat.

Meals included: Breakfast, lunch, bonfire snacks and dinner.
Activities: White-Water Rafting, walking through Rishikesh and witnessing Ganga aarti
DAY 4: Departure.
It's time to leave now - the city lights call and we're sure you carry with you memories that will last a lifetime!
